Best Kept Village 2026

Low Burnham

Northern Lincolnshire’s towns and villages are gearing up for the CPRE Best Kept Village showdown, with judging from July 11 to August 1.

Last year, the competition was fierce — scores soared as entries hit new heights. Winners at the October Presentation Evening were fired up to raise the bar even higher this year!

Judges score tidiness, community spots, and gardens. Local heroes shine with their stunning floral displays and community spirit, earning high praise every time.

Beyond the main contest, villages and towns can snag prizes for best churchyard, cemetery, playground, war memorial, and community planting.

This year’s extra special: CPRE Northern Lincolnshire marks 50 years of running the competition, plus CPRE’s 100th anniversary. Thanks to InternetTY’s sponsorship, there’s a special prize for the best tribute display — creativity is already blooming.  Thanks also to the generous sponsorship of Quickline we are offering extra prize money this year.

Judges provide detailed feedback, spotlighting each village’s strengths and charm.

At its core, the competition celebrates community pride and love for the local environment — that’s what really wins hearts and prizes.
