Record number of entries received.

This year’s competition was as closely fought as ever and with a record number of entries too. The judges were keen to report that the standard continues to improve, making their job harder. A number of new awards were included to take account of the effort involved.

We welcomed a number of new entries this year, including, for the first time, Old Clee, an urban ‘village’. The presentations took place at Elsham Village Hall and was enlivened by a quiz.

Grateful thanks to the helpers who provided a delightful range of refreshments.

Next year’s competition will be sponsored by North Lincolnshire Council.
